When a racer heads to the track he or she focuses on the win. It’s a single moment in time when all your effort comes together, thats what I went to Sonoma for.
There are several details I was looking for in this shot, the first was separation at pace. I wanted to see how the Nikon 300 would do hand held on a race track with a slow shutter role.
Manual settings in the field with heavy glass is a challenge, but I think the 300 shined and as I took the time to look at the days work, this was the one that standed out.
300 2.8mm 125th of a second at 50 yards at pace.
